Ive got an old Savage 23 in 25-20. It's accurate enough for shots out to 150yds or so. Been using 86gr Rem jacketed bullets @ 1700fps or so. I mostly use it for ground squirrels, sage rats, and rockchucks. I've taken one coyote with it @ 75yds, broadside, didn't need a second shot.

My marlin is 99 years old and still going strong. I've been using nothing but cast bullets out of it for about 20 years now. Great small game, trail, knock around the woods round. Wouldn't have any doubts about using it on coyotes out to 150 yards or so. beyond that I doubt I could use the iron sights on it.

I've got a T/C barrel in it. Lots of fun to shoot. I shoot a mix of cast and jacketed and hot rod it some the the Contender. Yep, it'll do coyotes if you do your part.

Just right for turkeys if you like to use a rifle for America's only native "big game" bird.

I have a Winchester Model 53 in 25-20. Shoots under 1 inch at 50 yards with a 60 grain jacketed bullet. Great fun to shoot, and cheap to reload for.

I have my grandfathers mdl 92 winchester with 24 inch octagon barrel and lyman tang site. I actually killed my first buck with it as a kid. I know use a lite load of H110 with a 60 hornady bullet. My kids love this rifle and it gets alot of use on warm sunny afternoons.

I have a rebored Ruger #3 in .25-20 and love it. I load to pressures the Ruger can tolerate and use it for my walking around rifle. Never shot anything as big as a coyote with it, but I would.

I use 16.0 gr. AA-2200 under the Hornady 75 gr. HP (don't try this in your '92 Winchester!) and it has accounted for numerous crows out to 238 yards. I use a cast bullet for plinking and small game.

Love the .25-20!

It will flat nail a coyote. Great on beaver and it is a PERFECT turkey rifle.

I have a Marlin 1894CL and it is my general carry gun. I shoot 65 grain cast bullets and 75 grain Speers. A joy....

I have a newer Marlin in the 25-20. The only bullets I've tried are the Remington 86 grain flat points. I've only punched paper and milk jugs with mine.

The 25-20 is a great little quarter bore. I have one ina Remington Model 25 and it's a hoot to shoot.

I use it while walking on my property and it has dispatched several skunks, porcupines, feral cats, and other assorted critters that get into our bird pens or stink up my dogs.

Might not be the most accurate rifle, however it does allow a lot of lead to be in the air in a short period of time and I've gotten really used to having it with me.

Know a fella says 2000 fps is doable with the -20 using the Lyman 70 gr FN w/gas check and a little tin in the alloy. That'll whack a yote, even a deer if you put it in the right place.

I have inherited a 1893 Marlin in 25/20 that I need to get some dies for.. have had it for two years but have not shot it yet.....

Nice classic old rifle.....

I ended up with it via a friend who died.... He had no children and it had been his granddad's since new in 1893...( or 1894).....
