Ray: a while back, in a thread about the 257 Roberts, you said you always loved the 120gr Sierra BTSP. Sierra makes a 117gr SPBT and a 120gr HPBT. Which bullet did/do you have an affection for? I've always respected your experience, even if you get the details confused occasionally! I've gptten good accuracy with the 25 cal. Sierra's, but always been concerned about their propensity to come apart at the wrong time. Just hoping to benefit from your experience. thanks | ||

I do that, it comes with age and a give a sh-ter that's in neutral! Make that a 120 gr. HPBT "Game King", It and the 117 gr. SPBT kill deer just fine in a 250 Savage or 257 Robts...Cup and core bullets work just fine on deer in most calibers, The failures come mostly with too much velocity, in which case a super premium is in order..Sorry for the hiccups..I did email you a more detailed reply on bullets in the 257..hope that clears things up.
