Went to Bass Pro yesterday and got two new guns at what I think was a good deal. They have the Abolt composite stalkers on sale for $479.97 in 243, 270 win, and 30-06. bought the 30-06. with the instant tax rebate from browning, the instant Visa rebate of $25.00 and another 10% off for getting the Bass Pro visa card. I paid right at 375.00 for the Abolt. Also bought a weatherby vanguard in 270win. . The vanguard is on sale for $399.97. also got the visa instant rebate of $25.00 and the visa card 10% discount. I ended up paying about 340.00 for the vanguard. I bought two new guns, leupold two piece base for the vanguard, leupold one piece base for the Abolt and arm rest cushions for my API climbing stand and spent $ 840.00. I don't think that was too bad. Now to load some bullets and kill some paper.

Talk about reverse Sticker Shock - prices like those are absolutely unheard of here in The Fatherland - or anywhere else in Europe!

I could get the Vanguard (Howa) for just about what you paid for everything; so you got all the accessories & an A-Bolt (most inexpensive I've seen here are €1308.00) for the same $$$.
