Howdy folks!. Many years ago back in the 80s I read about a guy who had made a .22Magnum Centerfire rifle + cartridge rather than what we I used to for a .22magnum in rimfire. I can´t recall whether it was a GunDigest, Gunworld or G&A I read the artical?. Anybody remembers?. this might be something.. http://www.loaddata.com/member....cfm?MetallicID=4751 DRSS: HQ Scandinavia. Chapters in Sweden & Norway

Are you thinking of the cooper 22CCM? NRA Patron member

I wonder about this, the Colibri 22 RF have only primer and no powder. Would a small rifle primer have enough pizazz in a centerfire WMR case to be interesting? It might be fun to lathe-turn a few brass cases and maybe make an adapter to shoot them in a .223. TomP Our country, right or wrong. When right, to be kept right, when wrong to be put right. I just might be. The artical I read back then was of someone who wanted to try make a reloadable .22Winchester magnum using smallrifle primer. The Cooper .22ccm is so close to that might be that very cartridge. The artical was about the first one made. I have often thought of that little thing. It could become a nice little pet. The 5.7 FN seems a more practical design for a small centerfire rifle.

Some company was doing the same thing with the 5mm Rem after Rem (as usual) discontinued making ammo for a gun the built and sold..I think any company that builds a rifle in any caliber should be required to make bullets for it FOREVER..otherwise its criminal and the customer should be refuned all costs.. I think I'll just stay with my Win. mod 63 with its 3X Leupold and those hot little 36 gr. Hollow Points..They seem to work as well as my 5mm or the 22 magnums I've owned..and a lot cheaper to shoot.. The 22 mag and the 5mm's cost as much to shoot as a 22 Hornet and you can't reload them..Hard to beat a Hornet or a Bee. 50 .22wmr costs 155sek 50 .22hornet costs 525sek both remington. One box of 100 .224 bullets is about 150sek not much money saved in reloading.

any 223 or 222, can be loaded to duplicate any 22 caliber round, right down to the 22 LR, or even a 22 Short... I do it all the time...especially for a Model 70 Featherweight in 223, as it is such a nice rifle... I don't want to wear out the barrel ( real accurate), and yet don't want it to be a safe queen. I load it to equal a 22 Mag or 22 Hornet most of the varmint seasons here in Oregon..
