I think that 35 gr V-Max will be THE Hornet bullet against which all others are judged one day.

I'm shooting a 1949 vintage BRNO .22Hornet which is in love with the new 35 grain V-Max and 13+ grains of AA-1680 and a CCI 550 primer loaded to 1.735 COL. This load approaches 1/2 MOA on most outings if the wind is restrained. The terminal performance is as one might expect from the name of the bullet: MAXIMUM ! The rifle also likes the 46 grain Winchester Factory HP loads, or that 46 gr. bullet loaded over 12 grains of AA - 1680. I find I get better groups with the small pistol primers as the powder capacity is perhaps better balanced to the assumed lesser flash. Regardless the Hornet is a hoot!
