Four six point 5 threads in a row. 40 years ago you could hardly give one away. Gee it's only taken US 70 years to catch up with Europe. A lot of inertia I suspect. roger

I've been a big fan of the 6.5x55 for some years now. I recently used it successfully for moose in Ontario with the 160gr. Sierra SPSP. It raises merry olde hell with an animals boiler room, very high ballistic co-efficient. I have a Remington Classic in that caliber, and it can be safely loaded much higher than the ballistics we generally see posted. I'm getting up there in age and got tired of being kicked from pillar to post by recoil. The 6.5x55 is quite mild. You're quite correct. It's popularity is really increasing. Best wishes.
