416TanzanAvailability of 243 Win M70 Featherweight Compact
My son and daughter-in-law are deciding on a Winchester M70 Featherweight Compact in 243 Win.
However, as I've done web searches and checked out places like Gunbroker this model and calibre is only showing up as "out of stock" or "special order". What gives? It seems like a calibre and rifle combo that fills a niche and should be readily available.

vapodogI ordered four of the new M-70 rifles several months ago in featherweight...(one a compact) in .308 and 7-08 and one of them took a lot longer to get as sales of these arms are quite brisk it seems.....it wouldn't surprise me at all if the .243 is going to take longer.......I'd assume it's worth the wait however!
