Norma 6.5mm 156 gr ORYX
Has anyone used the Norma 6.5mm 156 gr ORYX bullet? Will it stablize in a 1 in 8" barrel?

Roll EyesIn my 6.5 R Bar. the Norma does about 2.2" at 100 yds. the 160 gr. Hornady does better than MOA.Neither seems to be too load sensitive. beer roger

Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..

That was my Whitetail bullet in a 6.5x55 Ruger I once owned. Worked quite well.

A few months back I bought a couple boxes for my 6.5x55, they shot great. The plan is to use them on something this coming year.

I normally shoot the 156gr Oryx in my Steyr Mannlicher in 6.5x55 and it shoots very tiny cloverleaf groups at 100 yards. Really good load for deer and maybe up to elk if properly placed, also good on black bear.
