Not being able to finger f$#$%$ one of these or even see one up close I finally bit the big one and ordered one I found on a dealers back door at a good price [427.00].Spendy but what`s a guy to do? It arrived in fine shape and i must admit~~~~ I am somewhat pleasantly surprised. I wanted [and got] a light weight one as my shoulder is history. I found it is too short in LOP at about 12 3/4" so I installed a thicker i" and will also in the future add a spacer to make it about 14" or just restock. The fluted bolt is pretty smooth and the magazine release great as is the trigger. Scope? Oh Well--it was bore sighted and was ok--but will be upgraded. Accuracy! Shot some BiMart special stuff and was happily surprised with sub MOA @ 110yds. Tried some handloads and got better. I have not checked to see what the twist is but it is a shooter. I got this gun with the idea of possible barrel changing and it appears it is doable like a Savage 110. I tried [DUMMY] 17 Fireball and 6mm PPC and both fed fine. This might just be the thing to make a neat switchbarrel on. All in all? uite happy and it [the rifle] might just stay a 223. Who knows.
