Probably not. But I always like to run new brass thru a full length sizer to compensate for the inconsistency that is sometimes found in the factory brass we're getting these days. Make up a few dummy rounds from neck sized only new stuff and see how they chamber.

It would be very unlikely that you had problems chambering virgin, neck sized brass. I normally just make sure the case mouths of new brass are rounded (pass over expander), and have never encountered problems chambering brass treated such.

A few years back I remember reading that full length sizing made more accurate loads and that neck sizing really did not accomplish anything: like greater case life, accuracy, etc. Can't prove one way or the other but I full length size everything (maybe hunting heritage).

New brass has a smaller case body than your chamber. The neck on new brass should be the right inside diameter from the factory. The only thing that neck sizing will do is to straighten out any kinks in the neck brass that may have come from the factory or happened during shipment.

If it is Lapua, Norma or Nosler then you should not have to neck size unless you see an obvious defect.

Full Length Resizing should not even contact the case body or shoulder since the external dimensions of new brass are way smaller than chamber sizes. If you set your die to where you normally Full Length Resize and run new brass through it, all you will resize is the case neck since your die should not even contact the case body or shoulder. You will not actually be changing the size of the neck just making sure it is not bent.
