Looking at either of these rifles chambered in .22-250. CZ has the HS Precision Stock and the T3 has a similar syn stock. Pro and con comments and personal experinces??
I have the T3 varmitter in 22-250 and not one complaint here at all. Seems to shoot everything I have feed it really well. Do not like the look of the mag sticking out below the line of the stock bottom but I think the CZ is the same way. Very smooth, sorry extremely smooth action.
Thanks for the advice. I'll try to locate a T3 through my dealer.
In regards to the T3 mazazine sticking down well below the bottom line, I found they offer three different magazine capacities which should improve the appearance and target and field function. The smallest capacity is 3 regular rounds and I believe 2 of the fat stuff.
I'd go with the CZ. It's a crf and of course it has some metal. It's a varmint with a heavy barrel. I have one in .308 (not the laminated) and it shoot great.
I haven't written the CZ off completely and it would be my number two choice at this point. What are the advantages of the controlled round feed .22-250? What size groups are you getting and is this with the synthetic stocked rifle?
Bill, Please forgive me, but it is obvious that both of those rifles and the shooter are not up to snuff. I'm amazed at you guys always posting these targets and so many of you miss the coin, but still seem to be so proud.
Nice shooting for both the rifle and shooter.
Question> The only controlled round feed that I can remember shooting was an 8mm Mauser to many years ago. I can't recall if it was difficult to load a cartridge by direct insertion and pushing it up with the bolt. Can this be done or is it best to put the cartridge in the mag and allow the bolt to pick it up and rim slide under the claw?
Someday, I think I will post a "shot up" coin and see what happens.
I think on the Mausers, you have to push that thingy (I'm no gunsmith-maybe someone else can say) but the CZ will allow one to be dropped in. I think it has a little cutout that allows the extractor to jump the rim.
I always load from the magazine.
