Try their website below. I would guess their Researcher could tell you. It should have a 1 in 12 in. twist. Remington introduced it as a long range varmint cartridge shooting 80 grain bullets. Later, when they got spanked by the .243 Win., it was changed to 1 in 9 along with the name(6mm Rem). http://www.griffinhowe.com/contact.cfm.

Hello, As suggested, G&H folks can give you details as to age, history, etc., but as to value since it is a G&H built gun, price would be more than average for a Rem. 722. Strictly a guess, but would estimate north of 2500.00?? G&H is a quality house and generally commands premium pricing. I am sure it is a very nice rifle. martin

The 6mm & .244 Rem cartridges are the same but the rifles are different in that the .244s were made witha slower twist that won't stabilize longer (heavier) bullets. 6mm Rem rifles have a faster twist rate.

Since it has a custom barrel, you won't know what the rifling ROT is until you measure it. If it is a 1 in 12" ROT, it will still make a nice medium game rifle if you shoot 85 grain Partitions. Jeff
