Hey Am looking at an AR style rifle and have a question. Was on the Rock River Arms site and am looking at the NM A4 rifle but am confused by: .223 WYLDE chamber. What is the difference between the 5.56 NATO and the .223 WYLDE chambers?? I think you will find the answer in the chamber dimensions. A national match rifle will have a tighter (target) chamber than one cut to shoot NATO spec ammo. The year of the .30-06!! 100 years of mostly flawless performance on demand.....Celebrate...buy a new one!!

Wylde is RRA's compromise between 5.56 and 223. It is a tighter 'match' chamber that will still shoot both types of ammunition.

As opposed to a 223 chamber, which should not shoot 5.56 ammo.
