bushwackr50 bmg necked to 416 info
A friend of mine wants to take his 50 bmg , its a single shot and wants to neck it for a 416 bullet. I know he has to rechamber a barrel for it, but what else has to be done. Is it even possible, does anyone have any info? Thanks

CheechakoGet a 416 Barrett. No case forming. Dies available. Etc. Etc.
I know that this is a WILDCAT forum and what I am saying is blasphemy but sometimes you have to be practical.

Tyler KempNothing else should be needed, but I have never heard of this. On ammoguide.com there is a 375-50 BMG, there are dies and everything for it.
Love shooting precision and long range. Big bores too!

I have a 375-50 BMG in my collection. The one I have is called the 375 MACH V. Maybe it really will do Mach V with a solid bore-rider bullet but I doubt it. If I don't forget, I'll post a photo of the 416 Barrett and the Mach V tomorrow.

That would be my second choice also. (After the Barrett).
I don't know about you but I never thought I would find myself recommending that a shooter NOT build a wildcat. All we need now is for Roger B. to say the same.

Tyler KempWow that 375-50 BMG is sweet. What are the highest BC bullets available? The folks on longrangehunting would love the 375 with a higher than 1.0 BC bullet going FAST. How fast could that 375-50 BMG push bullets?
