Congrats on the new Rifle. Yes...DETAILS please!!!! Mine is built on a Left Hand Ruger 77 MKII, Bell&Carlson Carbelite stock. HArry McGowen did the barrel work, I fitted the stock. Dremel tool and Brownell's STEEL-BED, LOTS OF it. Harry silver soldered a recoil lug to bottom of barrel, 3/4 in high, about 1 in wide approx. 5 inches in front of receiver. Barrel is free floated back to that point, from there back to magazine cutout in Stock is Steel Bed, 1/4" thick +, with just enough under tang to "level" things out. It'll put 350 gr HAWKS into 3/4 in at 100 yards all day long. Sure adjusted the attitude of a 53" Moose in British Columbia back in '96. Was early in the rut, he came in lookin for a fight.Quartering towards me I broke his shoulder. The bullet continued back to destroy lungs, ended up beyond the diaphragm someplace. 5+ feet of Moose Penetration. Gotta love those big heavy bullets...... KDK | |||
