Has this been done before and would ya think it would work decently? A buddy of mine and I are considering different options for the intermediate Yugo M48 Action. He's looking at the 358 Hawk as a possibility. thanks, Ian

Ian, At the present time I only have theoretical velocities that I obtained from software provided by "Load From A Disc"! 338x57 MAI 200GR CT/BT Nosler 24"bbl, effective bbl length 22.09", temp 75*,case length 2.240, OAL 3.250, H-4895, 52.5gr, MV 2600fps, PSIA 56,000#'s .................,V-V N140 55.5gr, MV 2600fps, PSIA 56,000# I have just acquired a new chronograph and hope to have some actual data soon. My old Chrony F-1 just gave up the ghost. The whole idea was to develop a cartridge that would work well with all the surplus 98 actions and Yugo actions and to keep the max pressure to 56,000psia. My fellow experimenter has 34 years of hunting Alaska for Caribou and Black bear. Bullet weights 200/210 gr he felt were the best choices for the game hunted. This preliminary info should give you a rough idea of what to expect. Hope this helps. Ol' John
