Ordered my rifle in 22-6mm today with 1 in 8" twist. I need load data for bullets between 55 and 85 grain. All suggestions are welcome. Also information on trim length and OAL would be helpful. Thank you . Brian

Fetchmax, I load 75 grain AMAX's in my 22/6mm in front of 47.5 grains of RL22 and a GM210M primer using Rem brass. This is max in my rifle and super destructive on coyotes closer than 200 yards. I use the trim length listed for the 6 mm Rem for mine and it seems to work fine. FWIW. chrono'ed velocity with that load in my rifle is just over 3500 fps. Others (I'm told) get in excess of 3600 fps with 47 grains of RL22. I think you'll like this round! Good Hunting,

Fats, Haven't shot any deer with this one yet--hoping to ambush a Texas whitetail or three with it this fall. The Texas Trophy Hunter's site may have some info on performance. I use a 26" barrel. ED, If you're referring to the bullets made by Greg Richards, then, no I haven't used any. He wants about a buck apiece for them. Otherwise, I'm not sure who you are referring to. I'm starting to work up a load with the WW 64 grain power points. The 60 grain Nosler Partitions did not like my barrel! Good Hunting,

I've got one. My wife shot an 8pt last year with a 69 gr MK and it did the job. One thing I learned.....don't waste your time with the 70gr Speer RNSP!!!...they kept blowing up on me before it ever reached the target! Too thin of a jacket I guess??? I shot a large doe last season and lost it using the 75 A-Max that Horace Gore loves soooo much. I have the shot on video...it was a 'no-brainer' 70 yd broadside shot. Bullet placement behind the shoulder. The doe did a 'muledeer kick' and hauled ass....never to be seen again! No blood, no hair, no nada! I had a friend that tried the same bullet, same shot and had the same results.....no more A-Max's for me! I am going to try working up a 60gr partition for it and give it a try again. Personally...I would rather use my .35 Whelen! [ 04-04-2003, 06:30: Message edited by: TXPO ]

I use the 224 TTH. I am shooting Sierra MK 69gr bullets and reloader 19. I use the gun for groundhog and coyote hunting. I have a 1/9 twist in my gun and it will work with the 75gr Amax. A hunting buddy has a TTH and has 1/14 twist. His gun will not stabilize the 69gr MK, but it will stabilize the 70gr Speer SP. My load is shooting 3650 with the 69gr MK and my buddies is shooting 3950 with a 55gr bulk winchester sp. Both of these loads use RL 19. thanks 224TTH

Speaking of 69ers, anybody try the new Nosler yet? I've used them in 1:9 twist .223 AI and had some pretty good results with it on coyotes. How's it do out of that big case?
