from Post-WWII until at least the sixties. I just remembered, my old gunsmith worked with him for a while. When he gets back I will ask him. Rich DRSS Knowledge not shared is knowledge lost...

ty There are several "improved" Roberts cartridges out there. Most of them consist of a change in the shoulder angle and many also include less body taper. I believe the Vickery version consisted of a venturified shoulder. If you have formed cases they will tell you more than anything any of us can. I'd like to get one of the fire-formed cases for my collection. Check your PMs and e-mail. I can take measurements and possibly help with starting loads. Ray Arizona Mountains

I hope you got dies ! I have passed on a few 722s. Mostly beacuse they were chamberd for the 300 savage. Nothing wrong with the round , but I want one in the Roberts or a 6mm ...tj3006 freedom1st

Hey Thomas The next time you see an original 722 chambered in 300 Savage send me an e-mail. I'd be interested. As to loading dies for the 257 Roberts Vickery, the only die that would be a custom job would be the sizer and even that could be easy to get, depending on the exact case configuration.
