The way I had to form cases for my 244 AI was to expand the necks up to 6.5 in a 6.5 x 55 die ,then resize them in a 244 AI die until they will chamber.This is the false shouder mentioned above, which ackley talked about in his book.Just extend the expander ball way out so you dont change the case in the larger die,just expand the neck.

If you cannot clearly read the letters it is possible
that it may be ICL. In the late 50's or early 60's
the Juenke brothers moved to Reno - I think from Calif.
They were building rifles for their Increaced Capacity
Load cartridges.

My recollection is that ICL had a radiused shoulder,
not a sharp, straight line like an Ackley. I believe
one of the brothers, or maybe a son, is still in
business in Sparks. They make some type of a gadget
for comparing bullets.

Some where I still have some spec sheets I got from
them back then. If I can find them I'll let you know.
Seems like they were good performing cartridges.

The shoulders are not Radius, they are 45 degree, unlike the Ackley's which are 40 degree or less.

The ICL line was released and sold through Saturn Gun Works in Utah. The whole is listed in PO Ackley's Books Vol #1 and #2.

Thanks for the clarification. I was a lot younger when
the Juenke's came to Nevada and I guess my memorie failed
about the shoulder. I have not been home since we began
this discussion however I seem to remember the performance
of the ICL was pretty impressive.

I do remember the name of Saturn Gun Works - I think the
business in Sparks is under the Juenke name now

I remember in an old firearms dictionary or encyclopedia there was a reference to CCC being Controled Cumbustion Chambering. I don't have my books with at this time but if you can wait till December I can give you a direct quote.

Have you fired a 30-06 in the chamber yet?

The last two letters are distinctively 'CC'.
I have the Ackley book at home and ICL is not the correct case.
I think the first letter looks more like an 'I' than a 'C'
