156gr. Norma RN., oal= 3.015", One round did not feed well. mild some soot. 2522 to 2533fps. 4 shot 2" group at 50 yds. Good plinker at 300 yds.
129gr. BT-Ptipbulk, 44gr. DP85, oal=3.070", 2723 to 2771 fps., 4 shot 1/2" group and 7 shot 1" group at 50 yds. Again shooter's error.
notes Finding that a thumb hole stock isn't my thing. Found some 160 grain . Hornady RN bullets (discontinued) will see if they perform better than the Norma 156 grain RNs. From the results we can see that tha long neck and deep throat are providing enough powder capacity with the bullet seated out to duplicate or surpass that of the .260, especially with the heavier bullets. roger
Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..
