An interesting cartridge under devlopment - the 14.9x102mm SOP. They have a blog at http://monolithicmunitions.com/monolithic-blog/

The TEST/DEVELOPMENT rifle is shown here - http://i687.photobucket.com/al...krat44/20-145013.jpg It is grossly overbuilt just-in-case.

It’s interesting but not very useful.

What would anyone use it for?

What cost per round would it be to shoot?

Taking out an armoured vehicle but in reality,
for the time and effort involved, probably not much.

And other things can do the job just as well
with the range of ammunition available to the Military nowadays.
