Who is the maker? Of the brass. I think we know who invented the round.

Used lots of Bertram brass; the later ones are good. 3000 fps with 650 grainer? wow, I had no idea it was that fast. What action do you build them on? That head diameter has got to be, well, big.

Nothing wrong with Bertram brass if you buy 1st's.

Problem is, people buy the 2nd's and then complain
when it doesn't last long from whatever, a neck split where they took a dent out etc.

Sounds good.
I have never seen or heard of any Bertram brass being sold as "seconds". Maybe that is only sold in Australia.

Ed,

I know you've been working on this project for a while now but I haven't keep up with it. I've got to ask, what type of rifle are you launching 650grn bullets at 3,000fps from and how big an ol' boy are ya? A man that could hold up to something that powerful that presumably generates that much recoil is bound to be a fairly tough individual because that's got to be a pretty rough ride once the hammer falls!

I wasn't able to get in on the first pre purchase of these. Are you going to have any avaialbe for sale and if so how much.

The MRC PH action I was going to use to make one became a 500 A Square.

I just acquired Ruger No 1 that is begging to go big. It is currently a 7 Mag but was bought a for the action to make something else out of.

You mentioned at one time that there may be barrels available from McGowan. Has that become a reality yet?

Wow!! Ed has stayed the course on this one. He tried a 585 on the Gibbs case, even swaged a belt. It works, but this will be a much better option. Dies and brass available.

I need to send mine off to him one of these days.
