What can you get out of a .35Rem?

Or do you just get a .35Whelen or go to a .358Norma to start with?

What sort of velocities do you want? Or are you just being a butt?

Seriously, the .35 Rem will do 2000-2100 fps with a 200 gr., 2100-2300 with 180 gr. depending on the platform.

It started off innocently enough, but then I thought it over and realized I was taking the piss.

I can't see many advantages the .358Norma Mag would have over the .375H&H, though I can see the .35Whelen being a good midble of the road, close range heavy caliber.

It all started when I saw that Remington only chamber their guide gun in .35Rem and I thought I would be a lot betting off in .35Whelen...

They also chamber it in the 350 Rem Mag Jo, a clone of the Whelen but set up for a short action. 250 gr bullets at 2400-2600 depending on your particular setup (I would guess closer to 2400 in the guide gun). - Dan

If I had to start with no rifle, I'd get a 9.3x62mm and never look back.
