What do you think would constitute a lifetime supply of properly headstamped brass for a wildcat assuming a big game hunting cartridge to be used?

ZekeShikarAt 68, my lifetime might be more limited than yours!
Most of us shoot our big game guns sparingly so my guess is 200 brass would be fine unless the brass is over-loaded and the primer pockets get ruined.
I'm of the camp where more is better when it comes to brass so 500 is better and you can ruin a few while playing with loads and feel okay about it.

NormanConquestI keep a useable amount of wildcat brass already formed but keep A LOT of parent cases so I can always reform my own.

TomPWhen I got my 6mm-284, there were a few boxes of unprimed 284 Winchester cases on the rifle shop's shelf, all from the same manufacturing lot.
I found another box from that lot at another rifle shop, now have 200 cases. I neck-sized them, first in a 5C collet and then with the sizing die.
There will be plenty left after I've expired.

HipshootI shoot/hunt with 40 cases and keep 40 cases as backups. I also keep about 100 parent cases on hand to form when necessary!

AtkinsonAt my age, a box and a half would probably get me by if I didn't waste any..but I like to have a couple of hundred just in case I get lucky..

squeezenhopeI acquired 2 wildcats based on Pre War Model 70 actions 50 years ago. Each came with about 300 matched cases. I have never bought any cases for either rifle. I suppose it is somewhat dependent on the quality of the cases and how they are loaded.

AtkinsonDepends on how much you shoot or intend to shoot, thats what wears brass out..If you anneal Im sure a 100 or less would do..A lifetime in my case would more than likely be less than 5 to 8 years is my guess, someone else might be 75 years..
I usually load in batches of 60 with my favorite bullets so that would normally be 240 to 300 rounds.
