"Eagle" brand loading dies were made in the 1970's. I can't say how long they were in business. I have one set of their dies. They claimed to have some special finish on the inside of the die that reduced friction etc. I don't recall them being any better than quality dies on the market.I don't recall ever having trouble with the set I have and I've used them for around 40 years.

I still have a couple of pair of Eagle dies I bought before 1972...IIRC, in 1968-69. If you want, I will go downstairs and look at the original boxes, to see what they say about them. Again, IIRC, they were made in a little town very close to Waseca, Minnesota where Herter's was. And, mine look very much like they were made by the same volk. They were also priced just about the same as Herter's, if that tells you anything about their quality. They do work all right, but I certainly wouldn't buy them before Redding, Bonanza, Lachmiller, RCBS, or other known good brands. EDITED - Went downstairs and checked the boxes, and am glad I did. Just shows that memories 40 years past shouldn't be completely trusted...at least not mine. The boxes are marked "Eagle - Products for Shooters - El Monte, California". The dies are the same appearance as Herter's though (except shinier, as if they were chromed), and the price tags show they were less than $10 when I bought mine. (RCBS were about $14 at that time.) The Eagles came in a two-piece plastic box with a folding, attached, top, the bottom being white plastic, and the top clear plastic. The info as to brand and maker's location is a decal on the lower left hand corner of the top. My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still.
