i have just completed the fireforming for my 250AI. all went very well. some were 250 savage and some were 22-250. i can see no real difference in the end result. all fit perfectly into a cartridge/chamber guage that my smith cut for me. i made my first foray into load development last night. h-414 and RL15 are my starters. if any of you have some pet loads i would appreciate reading about them. i have looked at the reloading pages on this site and have looked at steve's pages. i want to eventually load a 75gr,85gr,90gr,and a 100gr. suggestions will be greatly appreciated. thanks GOOD LUCK and GOOD SHOOTING!!

There is one combo that I have seen shoot well in three .257AI's: Hornady 75gr VMax and 4895, with a normal LR primer. Geo. [ 07-04-2003, 08:00: Message edited by: Geo. ]

wm.f. in fla My most accurate so far is 45gr h-414 w/100g Nosler Bt. Fed 215 gm m primer. It is also molly coated. Don't ask way I used a magnum primer. It was just mistake. I want change it now though, it shot to good. I have a load with RL19, fed 210 gm and a Barnes 100gr XLC that shoots 3 into an inch. Start with about 39gr and work up if you want to try it out. I'm at work right now and don't remember the charge right now. I fell sure 39gr would be a safe start though. I also tried two or three differant loads with moly coated 75gr v-max's. They all sucked. I will try some more soon. Hope this helps some Shawn NOTE: 45gr not 46gr H414 for the 100gr BT. This is why I write this stuff down in a note book 47.5gr RL19 100gr XLC Fed 210GM [ 09-14-2003, 07:18: Message edited by: bluetick ]
