Question from another Forum - what is a 220 Thunderbolt? Anyone out there have quick access to one of the Wildcat books that can look it up?

i'm interested in the same. put some feelers out and all i could find is an Army guy in PA, John ... sounds interesting..

There is a guy who frequents the Bench Rest Central Forum whose handle is Thunderbolt. He is, or intends to build a 22 caliber cartridge by necking up the .204. He likes the idea of a 30 degree shoulder.

May or may not be what you're looking for???? roger

The rumour I heard was it is a 6.8 spc necked down. I have no reason to beleive this is accurate, let us know what you find out,

There was a .230 McCrea Thunderbolt made by Lyman McCrea around 1941.
