Ted Gorslineanyone necked a standard 458 Win to 470 calibre?
Has anyone ever taken a standard 458 Winchester case and necked it to 470. It would use the same weight bullet (500 grains) and have more frontal area with poorer sectional density but the bullet would be shorter too and thus case powder capacity more.
You might be able to exceed 470 Nitro ballistics in a very tiny case and recycle worn out or internally rusted 458 barrels.
