Hi-

I'm considering a rifle in 338-06AI, and wondering if anyone is shooting this round. What kind of real-life velocities are you getting (24" bbl)? I'm just wondering how far behind the 338WinMag this round really is - maybe the difference is purely academic?

Any good sources for load data?

I have my own 338-280 wildcat which is basically a 338 Gibbs. The shoulder is moved forward and gives a little more space. I get 3050 with a 180 from a 24" I can match or beat factory ammo from my 22" 338 wmag. I increase my loads until I get .0005 head expansion and then back off a little.
