Is there an (.338) 8.5x62mm wildcat based on the 9.3x62mm mauser?

Good Luck

Looks to me to be pretty close to something based on the gibbs design. I don't know if there is a .338 gibbs or not.

I believe there is one, both in rimless and rimmed version.
It was designed by Werner Reb and it is called 8,5x63(R) Reb.
Case is very improved, with almost paralel sides and a sharp shoulder.

While it is based on the .30-06 case, the .338 SABI is basically the same thing. The .338 SABI's shoulder is further forward than the standard .338-06.

Now this is an interesting project. Is there a reference for case drawings of these cartridges?
