Does anyone out there varmint/spotlight using a 270WSM

I use a Coyote 270WSM, 110 Hornady Vmax moly, 55grain og AR2208(Varget), Fed210M, WW or Norma case, at 3464fps.

3 shot group at 400yds 2.75" shot during a slight wind.

What accuracy do you get (5 Shot groups(, Cleaning methods, Case prep etc.

I often see the bullet impact at 200 yds, although at 100 I sometimes miss seeing the impact, I guess what I'm saying is recoil seems easy to deal with, very little muzzle lift, any ideas?

Devastating on anything shot so far.

I am not sure why this topic is posted in the wildcat section, but yeah, I have worked up a varmint load in my 270WSM.

In fact, we have tried this load in three Winchester Model 70's chambered in 270 WSM so far and they have all shot 1/2 inch groups with it.

The load consists of Winchester cases, Fed 215M primers, 73 grains of H 4831, behind a 90 grain Sierra hollow point. In my rifle this gives 3677 fps on the chronograph and shoots an even half inch.

This load has very low recoil and gets there right now! The sad part is that I have only taken this load coyote hunting one time and the coyotes did not want to cooperate that day.

I cannot wait to try it on a coyote some day. May even shoot a ground squirrel or marmot with it just for fun.

This is a pretty warm load so start from a couple of grains below.
