The Handbook for Shooters and Reloaders by P.O. Ackley will have some data.

They are roughly the internal volume of the 30-06 and compare in velocity to the '06 variants.

I know this is pretty general information, hopefully it will give you a place to start.

Hi Mckee,

Here's a link to an article on the 7mm Harvey Magnum, which is the 6.5 Remington Magnum (same case as the 350 Rem Mag), necked up to .284 by an Australian gun writer Nick Harvey.

Yep books I and II pretty well cover the spectrum of the 6.5/350 RemMag based wildcats.

Chambered in an Intermediate length action vs the factory Short length action worked best for the hunting rifle as traditional hunting bullets could be seated out to afford maximum powder capacity. Use of the Stand length action (3.4" magazine) only helped the cartridge's performance when using long LVD style target bullets.

Today the RCM, SAUM, and WSM cases offer greater performance at identical COALs; bolt face remaining the same for all.

Experimented with a 339/350 rem mag for a while. Did really well with it. Chronographing every new load proved that my wildcat equalled the performance of most factory 338 win mag loads step for step. Made several folks at my gun club mad that my little round was as effective- similar speeds with shorter barrel. Ended up ditching the project. Now hunt with my 6.5 and 350 Remington Mag in pre- 64 model 70 auctioned customs and could not be happier!
