I found a rifle I kind of like at a gunshop the other day. Its a custom comerical mauser Zastava I think with the 3 POS safty (winchester style) It would make a general purpose bad weather rifle, as it is in a flatt black synthetic stock , and chamberd for 7X57 ack imp. I alredy shoot the standard 7x57, and am quite familiar with it, I would guess that from a 22 inch barrel, I could expect performance similar to a 280 Rem with bullets uo thru 160, at about 2800, or so, am I about right ? ...tj3006 freedom1st | ||

The 7x57AI was my first wildcat caliber led me to the path of the unknown have eight Ackleys now. These were loads out of that rifle: 50/IMR4350 175gr bullet 2711FPS start at 45gr 51/IMR4350 160gr bullet 2825fps start at 47gr 53/IMR4350 150gr bullet 2915fps start at 49gr 53/IMR4350 145gr bullet 2991fps start at 49gr I got all those loads which were max out of the Speers Wildcat Manual #4 dated 1959 VFW | |||
