Does anyone have load data or other info on this one? I know the orriginal idea was 500 gr bullets in .458 for single shot pistols. I want to tighten the neck to shoot .452 bullets in the 300-360 range in a single shot carbine. The short case length is the main factor for me choosing this particular cartridge. Should it be shortened a tad (.10"?)at the shoulder to prevent .458 ammo from being chambered??? As a wildcat, there should be no concern about comercial ammo but if it is a very well established wildcat and the rifle were to change hands again it might be a problem. Would I be just as well off to tinker with the 577-450 Martini-Henry? The reason I am wanting a short case is so I can use a chamber adapter to shoot 45 Colt; if needed or for plinking or such... besides, either of these would likely be expensive to porvide brass for. I am not looking for nosebleed-inducing power. The biggest thing I shoot and load for is the 45-70 (which is reason #1 I just didn't tighten the neck on 45-70 cases) and something truly serious may be a little farther over the horizon (say, .458 Lott) which can really put quality .458 Bullets to use. I really just want something that can use 360gr LBT's and other .452 bullets to their fullest potential. [ 05-27-2003, 20:53: Message edited by: 45LCshooter ]

Email me at ed@aement.com and I can send you a PDF file of the cartridge drawing and dimensions. Perhaps more as well. Regards, HockeyPuck
