I just got my hands on a Win 70 feather wieght that someone has converted to 6.5-284 and was wondering if anyone has any loads for hunting for it. It would be used for barren ground caribue and maybe a deer or two?

You could start with 45gr of 4350 and work up with a 125gr partition, or 42gr of 4350 for 140gr slug. I think these are good starting loads, and 4350 seems to be a good bet for a powder.

Mine really likes 48-50 grains of either AA or IMR 4350. They shoot very well.
