I was looking at Pacnor's web site and came across a wildcat cartridge on their list called a 365 Magnum. I can't find any information on this round by doing a web search. I've contacted Pacnor and asked for info on this cartridge, but no reply yet. Obviously it is a 9.3 caliber round but other than that I'm lost as to what cartridge it is based off of. Anyone out there got a clue because I sure don't. | ||

I asked Pac-Nor the same question several years ago, and as I remember it is a wildcat based on the 404 Jeffery brass. As I remember, they said they bought the reamer years ago, but used it only once. So, they weren't too keen about investing in another 9.3 wildcat reamer for me. Anyway, time went on, and eventually I just had a reamer made for the 9.3x338, or as I call it the 366 Alaskan, and I had PacNor use my reamer to chamber the barrel. It produces all the power and velocity needed, in that caliber. In fact, I would be satisfied with a little less than maxed out. Heck, I'm happy with the 9.3x62, but you know how it is if you are thinking about wildcats at all. There are a bunch of wildcats with magnum size case capacity in 9.3mm. I dare not try to list them all. They all have their merits, but the best wildcat in my opinion is one that is easy to deal with. Using the 338 brass could not be easier. There are several factors to consider, but the least modifications to an action for feeding, magazine length is best. Case forming, and load development are other considerations.
