Has anyone ever heard of this wildcat? Seems like it would best the .270 WBY by a little (very little) bit. The reason I was asking is because the pawnshop here in town has one but it is a bit pricey. It is built on a Weatherby Vanguard action. Dies are included in the price. I was tempted but not @ $999.

My concerns are, how short is the neck and what condition is the bore?

I've heard of a 300 necked down to 7mm. It was done by a guy in Argentina. I believe it was a 7x66 Randle.
Looks like you may be in for some trial and error should you buy it.
