Any one take the 25wssm and neck up to 6.5. Would it be like a short 6.6x284. What do the 6.5 fans think.

The 284 case is about 20% larger in volume, ~66gr to ~53 gr H2O - 13gr H2O, so by "shortening" the 284 case by that amount of volume the 6.5 WSSM would be like a short 6.5-284...or vis-a-versa.

Search online for 6.5 WSSM...there is a bit of conjecture going on about it on WSSM ZONE...at least for the AR platform and 1000 yd work.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I might also make a neat "whisper" in the larger cal, sub-1100fs velo platform.

There IS a bit of chaffing concerning the "Large" rim and needing a larger bolt face recess...which is easily solved and is a bit of sour grapes more than anything else I think.
