Guys , recently acquired some wildcat cartridges referred to as a 22 Blake , an Australian wildcat . Case is 1.7" long , with a 224 cal 52 grain hp bullet . Load is 21.1 grains of a cylindrical powder of unknown heritage . Anyone have any ideas as to what this is , history etc ? I have asked on the Aust/NZ forum but to no avail. I have a small number of spares for trade purposes if anyone is interested...... ________________________ Old enough to know better

There are a few 308 based .22 wildcats, two that come to mind right now are the .22 cheetah and the.22-243 middlested.

It is almost like a 22Br and will likely duplicate the 22/250 in performance.

Only a guess but the unknown looks alot like a .22/250 Ackley. Member NRA, SCI- Life #358 28+ years now! DRSS, double owner-shooter since 1983, O/U .30-06 Browning Continental set.
