Hey Dan, I said I don't care what shooters use in long range competitions, hunting isn't a long range sport. That was one of your arguments for the superiority of the .338. I also said that at real game shooting ranges I doubted there was any difference between the 2. There are enough bullets choices in either caliber to keep an expirimenter busy for a long time, and that is all you need. I tell you what YOU compare the bullets but instead of comparing the same weight in different calibers, which always favors the smaller dia. bullet when you are looking at BC and SD. Compare bullets with the same or as similar BC and SD like a 225gr 338 to a 250 gr 358 (Barnes X). Then run your velocity and bullet drop comparisons. But you'll need to make sure that you are comparing apples to apples don't compare a .358 RN bullet to a .338 Spitzer. Then tell me about actual differences. Sean | ||
