Could you use the Westley Richards 425 WR bullet

which is a .435" diameter to have a shoulderless

AND rimless cartridge and headspace on the mouth

[very cool] like the 585 SHE or 50 B&M?

If you are using a controlled feed bolt action you

should be good with this idea I believe. If that di-

ameter is a bit to much what about the 404 Jeffery

bullet which is .423" diameter?

We know the .416 and .411 have both been done

with shoulders so don't bore yourself with those. Big Grin

Jack

OH GOD! {Seriously, we need the help.}

I should sell you my long-action, mag-face, LH, SS with its 29-inch Krieger barrel. It's 300WSM, but you could rebore it...

Your idea of .338-06 is as good as any. If you want something different then take a look at Hawk line of cartridges based on 06 case. .375 Hawk and .411 Hawk look very intriguing with .375 getting my vote.

I have a 6.5-284, 338-06 and .35 Whelen built on LH SS Montana 1999 actions. The 6.5 is built on their "short" action while the others are based on the 30-06 length action. They make a very nice combo.

Is a 9,3x62 too pedestrian for you?

Anything in NA is fair game for it.
