Hey Guys,

Does anyone have any reloading data on the 8mm-06?

I have had extensive work done on an original barreled '98 Mauser. The barrel was cut to a length of 29".

Thanks a bunch,

AAD

You are welcome. You can easily transfer the published 8x64 reloading data unto the 8mm-06. The case capacity of the factory 8x64 is very slightly higher than of the old wildcat, but this would not notably effect the outcome..

I'm not at home right now, but I'm pretty sure that the Nosler Manual lists 8m-06 data. You might check the Hodgdon's site also. My old speer manual might have it also.

Hey Guys,

Thanks a bunch for the responses.

Lar45 - Does the manual give the barrel length used in those load developments?

Thanks again, all,

Smoker

The Nosler book says 24"
The other doesn't say.

AAD I have a couple loads that perform very well in my 8mm-06. The 175 gr Sierra and W760. Max in MY rifle is 65 grs for a little over 3000 fps. I suggest you start at about 58 grs and work up. for larger game 200 gr bullets are very good. Both the Speer and the Partion shoot very well in my rifle with IMR 4350

Hey Snowman,

Thanks for the input. That 175 Sierra sounds really good.

Thanks again,
