Another option is to have one made by a gunsmith. The name doesn't come to me at the moment but I know there's a "die blank" available from a company advertising in Precision Shooting magazine.

An FL die is certainly a bit harder to handle but if you're just shooting, i.e., not hunting, then you might get away with a neck die that should be much easier to make.

If money's no issue then you could probably send practically any of the die companies a fired case, preferably an unfired case too I guess, and they could make you one custom. That can get up over $100 though.

Good luck.

Send the fired case and the die back to Rcbs and have them correct the dies. They're usually pretty good about this kind of stuff. - Dan

Dan,

I don't know about repairs to dies but last I heard RCBS had ceased making custom dies.

In fact sometime ago I had an interest in necking 416 Rigby to 375. RCBS would not do dies but Redding would. I think they were about $135US. For 450 Rigby Redding were $400US as I remember. CH were about $130 for either.

What Dan says is 100% right. Send the dies back to RCBS. They WILL correct. Only question will be what dies they are. If it's for the 338WSM, those dies were recalled by RCBS because the body is way too short. I doubt they will correct those because of the recall. You have to go back to the original seller for that. If it's anything listed in their catalog, or dies made before they stopped doing the custom dies about 2 years ago, they will make them right.

Folks at CH die are also very easy to work with, if you can't RCBS to fix your issue.
