Guys: Finally had a chance to shoot my 6-06 on something other than paper. A couple of us went over to Cuba New Mexico over the last weekend, where we shoot dogs on a friends ranch. I was shooting 87 grain Hornady hollow points at about 3675fps, and at 400 yards I was getting "chunks" with my hits. In spite of a pretty heavy wind, I was hitting 7 out of ten. I am very pleased with Pac-Nor and this cartridge. It looks like I will have another chance in July. Can't wait! Jerry NRA Benefactor Life Member

got 4 pacnor tubes in the stable and love them all. 1 on my 280AI I am convinced is a hummer barrel, it shoots almost every load at .5moa +/- and the good loads are more like .25moa when you do your part. I have a 6.5-06AI on a 26" 1:8 #5 and it has gone 1/2" for 5 shots at 200yds during work-up. GOOD CHOICE. Glad to hear your slight variation of mine with a similar tube is doing the same things mine are. Sounds like you built a shooter there. Difficulty is inevitable Misery is optional

I've also got (4) rifles wearing PacNor's. I like the bbls., accurate, clean up fast. I see no reason to by anything else. My .260ai is having a bad day (or I am having one) if it goes over .75moa. It has fired many groups in the low .3s. Even my big ole .404 has gone under 1moa many times, great bbls. for the money. LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!

You Guys are right about Pac-Nor barrels. Mine is a 28" Super Match, Stainless on a 700 Rem LA, with an HS Precision "Black" Stock. I always prefer wood stocks, but had this one laying around. I am getting ready to send a Brno Mauser up to Pac-Nor for the instalation of a 257 Roberts AI tube, 26". Jerry NRA Benefactor Life Member
