Noticed that Prvi is offering brass in the following dimensions. Might make case making easier for some of you wildcatters:
.303 British x 7mm long
7x64 Brenneke (.460" base diameter) x 73mm
30-06 (.469" base diameter) x 73mm

The .303 British case length in 73mm. Have a dog on my lap which makes typing difficult.

Wow. I wonder what the capacity of that 30-06 is? It would make a hell of a .264 AI type round.

Link please? I'm confused about what you're looking at on their site.
Are you talking about the blank ammunition? For re-enactments and training?

Oh, okay, I think I got it on second glance.
The 303 blank might be interesting to the BPCR crowd to make 40-70 Sharps Straight.

I am assuming " blank case " means basic brass... straight un-formed cases .....
They also list a 7.62x54, presumeably rimmed.... might be the go for the 405 Grenadier dancing

Where do we get these longer cases in the US?

PRVI blanks

These have an extended "neck" that forms the psuedo bullet crimped down to aide proper feeding. The 303blank has promise to fireform into 30-40Krag, 35 Winchester, or 40-70 Sharps Straight.

I think I read the PRVI listing wrong. I, too, assumed they were basic, unnecked brass to longer lengths. From the pic on Midway, they appear to be nothing but blank ammo.
I tried looking up the PRVI SKU's, such as C-373 for 30-06 x 73mm, but had no luck.
Sorry for the wild goose chase, guys.
I'll crawl back to my little rug in the corner.

No worries, anything that gets the creative juices flowing is a positive.

They make the brass that long. Maybe they could be convinced to sell it before turning it into loaded blanks.

I noticed they had 7.5x55 Swiss brass on the list of 73mm long brass. Very similar to the 284 case but if they were available in 73mm long form that would start a batch of wildcats on a smooth feeding beltless case.

They are blank cases for reforming? Or cases for forming blank ammunition?

They also make blank ammunition

It looks like they are loaded blank cartridges.
Before they are loaded blanks, they are long "basic" brass. Maybe they could be convinced to sell some like that. It would be worth an inquiry.

I contacted the importer here in Australia and they said they are loaded blanks, I assume for movies, bird scare or whatever. The ones they had in stock,303 and 7.62x54R, were solely for a customer in Victoria but he will contact them and see if they are willing to sell the fired cases back to me.......time will tell tu2

Got the straight scoop from PRVI:

" Thank you for contacting our company.
Our Blank Brass Cases are for forming blank ammunition.

Best regards
