Fred Zeglin of "Z-hat Industries" is going to be teaching a class devoted to designing your own wildcat. The class is going to be held at Murray State College in Tishomingo Oklahoma from June 28th to July 2nd, the cost is $250. In this class you will learn to build a reamer, chamber a bbl for your new wildcat, you will learn the tricks to fireforming your own rounds and testing the pressures, and also cutting your own dies. If you have an action and bbl and want to build your own wildcat you will be able to do so. You don't need to have an action or bbl, most students come and learn using the schools equipment and tools. If your interested, get in touch with me and I can get you some more details and answer a few questions. I need to get about 8 more people to take the class, there will be a couple of gunwriters there doing an article on the wildcat process so we'd really like to fill this class up.

I have absolutly no expirence in gunsmithing but would love to go for the knowledge - would it be worth my while to do so? I am in no way saying I'll be there as I am military and leave being a tricky thing.

Thanks for the response.

This is one of those classes that rarely gets offered. If we don't fill the class this time it likely wont ever be offered again, Mr Zeglin has cleared his schedule for this. The amount of information to be gained from Mr Zeglin is definitely worth the cost of the class. You don't need very much gunsmithing knowledge, mostly just an understanding of reloading, velocity and pressure. You will do some machine work, but there will be enough of us there to help if your lacking. If anyone is interested I need to hear from you soon.

What an excellent idea. Unfortunately my summer college classes get over on July 8th. I've been playing with makeing reamers but some expert guidance would be great.
