i have developed a new round base on the 7.62x51 (308)case. i lengthen it out about 9 or 10mm and put a bit of taper to the round for easy extraction. it handles bullets ranging from 90 gr to 250 gr. with the best being from 150-180 gr. the velocity is increased by about 200fps. i think i will name it the 30 something

When you say you "lengthen it out 9 or 10 mm are you talking about blowing the shoulder forward that much?

From the drawings that I have you would have no neck left if you do that. If you are talking about making the body of the case longer how would you do that?

As I understand you are talking about making a 30 caliber based on the 7x57 case - a 7.62x57.

Speer, Sierra, Lyman, Hornady, Hodgdon have reliable reloading data. You won't find it on so and so's web page.

If you lengthen the case 12mm you could call it the 30-06?

and by making it 6mm longer you have a 30 us [30X57]
or the 30 XCB which is actually a 30-06 case shortened to 58mm.
