Is there any established small 30 cal rounds like a 38 special necked down? For low velocity cheap plinking with cast bullets?

Not aware of an established one, but still looking. Did grab a 38 Spcl shell and ran it into my 7.62x25 FL sizer I had sitting ready from loading those and it makes for a long neck, rimmed version.... You could trim the neck I guess. Checked on CH Tool and Die website: 30-357 Magnum 23o 30-357 Magnum 30o 30-357 Magnum 40o 30-357 Paxton www.ch4d.com [ 12-06-2003, 09:32: Message edited by: MartytW ]

My first wildcat was a 32/38spl.with a 30 degree shoulder. It was a rechambered 32 rimfire,no.4 Remington Rolling Block with the firing pin set to centerfire. This was in 1972. This was an original wildcat of my design. It was a blast! There is a 30/357 Paxton. WC

I have seen the 30x357 Max, aka rimmed whisper. If you have a 357 max, ron it up into a 30x221 die, pretty much the same effect. Jeff
