If you want to fire-form using regular 223 ammo the chamber must be set up so you feel just a little resistance closing the bolt otherwise the case will more backward toward the boltface when fired (excess headspace) and you will get a weak spot in the brass. If your rifle isn't set up this way you will need to load ammo seating the bullet into the lands as was mentioned above.
