Does anybody know of or have any wildcats based on the 6.5x55 SM case? I was thinking like a 6mm/6.5x55 SM. Any information would be much appreciated.

The 7x54 and 8x54 are known wildcats; at least the latter has also been factory loaded by Norma. I own a 8x54 myself. Its performance is akin to the US factory loads of a "8mm Mauser".

A 6x55 is mentioned in the Vapenjournalens Ladebok, too, and associated with the name of Tor Treider.

If you arent fuzzy about whats a wildcat or not, I guess the 6,5x55 Ackley Improved is a good cartridge with a fine record based on the swedish mauser.
